Spaceport has been helping students build a space habitat that they will eventually live in for 48 hours straight in order to understand the complexities of living in space. The geodesic dome construction has been in the planning stage since December of 2017 and began construction in January 2018. Three sets of crew will occupy the habitat for a 48 hour period and run a multitude of experiments ranging from aeroponics to robotics. THe Jr and Sr. high school students have been assigned roles and are planning and implementing their assignments for weeks as they prepare for the two day stay. Spaceport will update the progress and pictures via Twitter and the website as the project nears the habitation phase.
